The Middle-tones community choir celebrates 10 years singing together

The Middle-tones community choir marked their tenth anniversary on the evening of 12 September at St Mary’s Parochial Hall in Middleton.

It was a great success and the choir were delighted to welcome the Lord Mayor of Leeds, Cllr Stephen Holroyd along with family, friends and former members of the choir.

The choir was able to entertain with a selection of songs they have learnt over the years.

There was also a song writing event to mark ten years, some poetry and interval entertainment by our fabulous musical director Samantha Stewart and her sister Tasha.

The choir is funded by a grant from the National Lottery Community Fund and meet on a Tuesday evening at Laurel Bank complex care needs centre from 7 until 9pm.

There are no auditions, if you love singing you will love our choir and it’s free – come and join us!

The choir would like to thank Gayle Graham at Health for All for their continued support, Laurel Bank and Allan and his team and the Parochial Hall who help to sustain the choir and for us to put together these special performances.

Everyone at the Middle-tones is looking forward to the next ten years and will be singing again at Parochial Hall with their friends the Leeds Male Voice Choir on 15 December. Free admission, just pay as you feel. All welcome.
