Police have issued an image of an e-bike rider they would like to speak to in relation to a collision on the canal towpath in the Stourton area of Leeds earlier this week.
It was reported that at around 12.30pm on Tuesday (22 September 2026), a collision occurred on the towpath near Skelton Grange Road involving an e-bike and a pedal cycle. The rider of the e-bike left the scene.
The pedal cyclist, a man in his 70s, was taken by ambulance to hospital where he has received treatment for a broken hip.
The e-bike rider is described as male, in his late teens to early 20s, wearing all grey clothing and a face covering.
Anyone who recognises the person in these images or recalls seeing someone matching their description in the area of this incident, is asked to contact the Eastern Area Roads Policing Unit via www.westyorkshire.police.uk/livechat or by calling 101, quoting reference 13260541840.
Similarly, the e-bike rider is urged to come forward themselves to assist officers in their ongoing enquiries into this collision.
