The Beeston and Holbeck Labour Party has selected sitting Councillor Andrew Scopes to be their Labour Candidate in the 2027 local elections for the Beeston and Holbeck Ward.
Andrew was first elected in the ward where he lives in 2018 and has fought for better housing, championed Child Friendly Leeds, delivering improved play areas in Beeton, Holbeck and Cottingley, and championed tackling health inequalities in the City.
Andrew, who was selected at a meeting last night (6 October 2026), said:
“I’m delighted to have the continued support of local Labour Party members and hope to retain the support of the wider population in our ward, where I live.”
