Here’s a roundup of some the main events taking place over the coming week in South Leeds. For full listings go over to our What’s On calendar here.

We kick off with the monthly Leaf 11 Handmade Crafts Market on Saturday morning 9:30am-12:30pm at the Watsonian Pavilion in Cross Flatts Park. Stalls will include knitted items, jewellery, pet products, wax melts and much more. Plus there’s facepainting and henna and even a mosaic making workshop.

Holbeck Moor hosts a Sport and Active Lifestyle Fair on Saturday afternoon. If you want to be more active, but don’t know where to start get down and meet local clubs and have a go with some free taster activities.

On Sunday there’s a special fundraising day taking place in Hunslet for Kadiee Green,  the little girl with terminal Batten Disease. The day starts with a football match on Pepper Road at 11am, then it moves to the Garden Gate pub where there will be a barbecue, raffle and live music from The Instagaterz. Please get along and spend as much money as you can afford to support this great cause.

The Friends of Middleton Park present a concert from popular ukulele band Caspar and The Fleas on the bandstand on Sunday afternoon 2-4pm.

Also on Sunday the Healthy Minds Cycling session start in Cross Flatts Park, 10am. The free sessions are run by British triathlon, but don’t worry, there won’t be any running or swimming. The aim is to support your cycling at whatever level you are at. If you don’t have a bike or a helmet you can borrow one.

Having been unable to meet for 15 months, Beeston Forum is back with a meeting arranged for Thursday, 7.30pm at Beeston Village Community Centre.

Plus don’t forget there’s a host of children’s activities including a cricket activity camp at Hunslet Nelson CC, Art in the Park (Cross Flatts) and Middleton Railway’s Kids For A Quid on Wednesday and much more.
