Police were called to Lanshaw Crescent in Belle Isle at 6:19pm yesterday (Thursday 9 March 2017) following a report of a body at an address.
Emergency services attended and found the body of a man, who was believed to be in his forties.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following enquiries in the area, a 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder.
He remains in custody at this time and enquiries are continuing.
