On Wednesday (25 June 2025) 51st Leeds Rainbows and Brownies visited Middleton Railway as part of the North East England Railway Challenge celebrating 200 years of steam rail.
The volunteer staff looked after the girls very well and produced a workbook with lots of information and illustration and things to do. Three of our girls who are working on the last parts of their Gold Challenge renewed their Guide promises aboard the engine used in the film The Railway Children.
A brilliant evening was had by all and on completion of all the clauses needed, you guessed it, the girls will receive a badge.
