Revised plans for Active Travel Neighbourhood revealed

Revised plans for an Active Travel Neighbourhood in the Cross Flatts area of Beeston have finally been revealed and consultation with affected residents begins today (8 October 2021). Under the scheme roads will be blocked to reduce ‘rat running’ through the area by motorists and promote safe walking and cycling.

Double celebration at Middleton Railway

Middleton Railway held a double celebration last Wednesday (29 September 2021) as they unveiled the name plate for their new carriage shed and Vice President, Ian Smith was presented with a lifetime achievement award from Railway Magazine. The carriage shed was made possible by a very generous bequest from the
