Community reporter Carole McKnight has sent us this article about her local charity shop:
I am writing about the Middleton Elderly Aid shop in Throstle Lane. It’s a really nice, clean shop and the people who work there help you a lot.
They are always friendly, find time to help you and are nice to talk to.
The clothes they sell in their shop are given by other people. I have been going there since it opened (I used to go to the other one on the Ring Road before).
Some people have not got a lot of money and this shop helps and I think it’s nice that people bring things into this shop. Some people don’t seem to know that this shop is here. It would be nice if people knew it was there.
