Ed has lived, worked, and volunteered around south Leeds for 20+ years. He’s the Green Party councillor for Hunslet and Riverside.

He’s co-led dozens of local organisations, events, and campaigns, including: the Big Bike Fix, Holbeck Viaduct, Beeston Festival, Leeds Repair Café, Cross Flatts parkrun, Same Skies think tank, and Together for Peace.

He’s also involved in year-round schools and youth work, community sports, environmental campaigns, inter-community dialogue, charity volunteering, and grassroots support and advocacy work with residents.

The Green Party is a fast-growing alternative to the big old parties, committed to social justice, community wellbeing, and tackling the climate crisis.

Priorities for Ed include:

  • affordable homes;
  • kickstarting a green industrial revolution;
  • better public transport;
  • defending the NHS, and bringing key industries back into public control;
  • an immediate ceasefire and a just peace for Palestine and Israel;
  • proper regional devolution;
  • upgrading our outdated voting system;
  • fairer taxation;
  • and supporting independent business.

The Greens came solid 2nd across this constituency in the recent Local Elections. The Conservatives stand zero chance here, so no need to vote ‘tactically’. We are the positive local alternative to Labour.
