Iceland set to move into Junction 1 Retail Park

Iceland Foods have confirmed that they are set to open a new store at Junction 1 Retail Park, Ring Road Beeston, close to B&Q in a unit formerly occupied by Aldi.

The store will be one of their larger The Food Warehouse outlets which describes itself on the website thus:

“We are Iceland’s bigger little brother bringing you free parking, exclusive products, bigger choice in food and homeware, bigger packs and even bigger deals, it’s the bigger store giving you a great deal more!”

The store is planned to open in the late summer 2019. Two planning applications have been submitted relating a new storefront and plant to the rear of the building, no other changes to the unit are proposed.

You can view the applications on the Leeds City Council planning portal here and here. Both applications are open for comment until 31 May 2019.
