Further to our recent report on the Council’s proposals to develop the land around Elland Road stadium into a new neighbourhood, a series of consultation events have been arranged.
The Council’s vision is the regenerate the area with up to 2,000 new homes being built alongside leisure facilities and new arrangements for matchday parking.
These drop-in events are a chance to find out more about the proposals and discuss them with council staff in-person.
Events have already been held in Cottingley and Hunslet and continue today (2 July 2025) at Dewsbury Road Community Hub & Library, LS11 6PF from 4:30-6:30pm.
There are a further four sessions next week:
Tuesday 8 July – Beeston Village Community Centre, LS11 8DQ – 8:15-10:15am
Wednesday 9 July – Beeston Village Community Centre, LS11 8DQ – 3-5pm
Thursday 10 July – St Matthew’s Community Centre, LS11 9NS – 9:30-11:30am
Thursday 10 July – Watsonian Pavilion, Cross Flatts Park, LS11 7NA – 1-2:30pm
The online consultation remains open until Friday 25 July at: ellandroadneighbourhood.commonplace.is where you can view the proposals and add your comments.
