Community Committee to debate ‘legal highs’

The Inner South Community Committee will be meeting on Wednesday (10 June 2015) to debate what can be done about ‘legal highs’.

Community committeeThe committee is made up of our nine ward councillors and as usual the meeting will be in two sections. The first session, starting at 5:30pm, will start with a presentation from Inspector Nick Berry, explaining what legal highs are and why they are an issue. There will be a question and answer session with a panel of experts and then discussion to identify local actions that can help address the issues raised.

Residents are encouraged to come and get involved in the discussions. Sandwiches will be served from 5pm and the workshop starts at 5:30pm. The meeting is being held at Elland Road Police Station.

The second, formal part of the meeting commences at 7pm. Again the public are invited to attend and there is an open forum where anyone can raise an issue with councillors or ask a question.
