The lights have been paid for by the Inner South Area Committee and local councillors will be present at each event.

Middleton

Wednesday 4 December at 3:30pm, Middleton Circus

Belle Isle

Thursday 5 December at 3pm, Belle Isle Circus. Children from Windmill Primary School will perform with Opera North’s In Harmony Super Strings and Chamber Choir. Bring a lantern or light.

Beeston

Thursday 5 December at 5:30pm, next to Beeston Co-op on Town Street. Carols, entertainment and refreshments will be provided in St Mary’s Parish Centre.

Holbeck

Saturday 7 December at 4pm, by St Matthews Community Centre. Refreshments will be provided.

  1. 3.30pm, most of us hard working people are still at work at that time. What a strange time to do a community activity when a large proportion of people who live in Middleton will be at work. 🙁 Julie x

    1. Fully agree. On a side note I don’t see a need for so many separate Christmas lights in such a small ward. A Christmas tree outside the new ASDA, or the top of Belle Isle Rd. Would be sufficient.
