These smiling mums recently received certificates to mark them qualifying as official ‘bosom buddies’.
The mums, from Beeston and Middleton, all breastfed their own babies and successfully completed a course which allows them to support other mums who may need some support.
The bosom buddies were awarded their certificates at the opening of a new breastfeeding group for mums living in the City and Hunslet ward. It runs at the Adelphi Hotel in Hunslet Road on Thursdays (9.45am – 11.15am).
It offers a chance to meet other mums, who are breastfeeding, and a chance to relax, talk and breastfeed with support from the Bosom Buddies. New mums welcome.
Middleton Baby Cafe also runs at Middleton Family Centre, Sissons Road, on Tuesdays (10am-noon).
Beeston Baby Cafe runs Wednesdays 1-3pm. Starting this month is a Monday morning session at Mothercare at Crown Point.
