Do your kids think vegetables are the enemy? Fed up of cooking the same stuff all the time? Need some inspiration for cheap, easy healthy recipes?
Then come along to the Middleton Monthly Monday Meal the second Monday of every month at Middleton Community Centre (3.30pm). The group is meeting today.
There are activities to keep the children entertained, all ingredients and equipment provided and a meal at the end of the session!
Middleton resident Carole McKnight attends every month with her grandchildren and has learned a lot.
She said: “One week we learned how to make crumpet pizzas, the other we made things like jacket potatoes or meat-free cottage pie.
“My grandson was a very funny eater, but this group has taught him to try new foods and he’s improved a lot – he really likes cous cous! I eat a lot more healthily now, and it’s fun for the kids to learn stuff too.”

are on May 13 and June 10.
