St Joseph’s clubbing together for charity and the community this month

St Joseph’s Catholic Club in Hunslet are this month holding two big community events: a family-friendly Easter Day party, and a charity tribute gig raising money for St Gemma’s Hospice.

Last year’s superhero family event at St Joseph’s Club

The Easter party, 2pm-8pm on Sunday 16th April, will feature a traditional Easter Bonnet parade, music, games, and more; entrance is free. The gig, from 7pm on Friday 28th April, features acclaimed local ‘multi-tribute’ band Starstruck; tickets are £3 each, with half the proceeds going to Leeds-based St Gemma’s Hospice.

Club manager Michael Whitaker commented:

“We held bank holiday events throughout last year, and they were really popular – especially the Easter one. It will be a great family day out: every kid will walk away with something, and they’ll be cheap beer! We really want the club to serve the local community again, as well as raising money for charities such as St Gemma’s – so come join us if you can.”

St Joseph’s is on Whitfield Avenue in Hunslet, is always open to new members, and has function rooms to hire or borrow. For full info, click here or call 0113 276 0844.
