People in Action, a Leeds-based charity, has been running its Changing Lives Clubs for over a decade.
There is a club in Beeston and 5 more around Leeds, for local learning disabled and autistic people to come along, spend time with friends and make new ones, while trying new activities.
The members lead the decisions on what activities happen at the clubs, and decide what they want to do each week.
The clubs often have visitors such as musicians, theatre companies and fitness teachers, to run activities.
Carers are welcome to accompany members.
The club in Beeston runs on a Friday from 6.30-8.30pm and costs £6 to attend.

South Leeds Life is published by a not-for-profit social enterprise. We keep our costs as low as possible but we’ve been hit by increases in the print costs for our monthly newspaper which have doubled in the last two years.
