South Leeds Sisters, the all women running club, are launching a new ‘Couch to 5K’ course to help people get more active.
Couch To 5K was developed by the NHS and is a proven nine week programme which will take you from doing little or no exercise to running 5 kilometres.
Week one starts with mostly walking and short intervals of jogging. You build up your running ability in a very controlled way each week.
There are three sessions each week, starting on Monday 13 May, led by a trained run leader:
- Monday 6:15pm Phoenix Bar, John Charles Centre
- Wednesday 6:15pm Overflow car park at John Charles Centre
- Saturday 9am Middleton Woods parkrun, Leeds Urban Bike Park.
