Playbox at Trentham Park
Playbox returns to Trentham Park on Beeston Hill with free family play sessions every day from Saturday 21 October (3-5pm) then Sunday-Friday (1-3pm). Go along and find out what’s in the box!
Hunslet Club Activity Camp
The regular mix of sports, crafts, games, beauty, baking and movies for boys and girls in Key Stage 1 and upwards runs Monday to Friday from 8:45pm to 3pm. £10 per day, or £8 if you book in advance. Contact dhall@hunsletclub.org.uk.
Middleton Park free play sessions
Free play activities organised by Friends of Middleton Park. No need to book, just turn up to the Visitor Centre, 1-3pm on Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25 October.
Bushcraft Days
Shelter building, Fire lighting, campfire cooking, field games, hammock making, wild food walks, wood work crafts, string making, bows and arrows at Skelton Grange Environment Centre. For children aged 8-13, cost £30, book at skelton@tcv.org.uk or call (0113) 243 0815.
Free Family Film Night
Watch the free showing of Caspar The Friendly Ghost at The Holbeck Club. Tuesday 24 October at 6pm. No booking required.
Middleton Railway
The railway will be running on Wednesday 25 October. Trains run every 40 minutes from 11am, entry to the museum and engine shed is free.
Spooky Tour and Beastly Beasts
Free fun family workshop on Wednesday 25 October 10am-12pm. Bring your battery-powered candles for our pre-Halloween spook-fest. Investigate the weird world of museum monsters. Dressing-up optional. Library events
Dress to scare and come along to one of the super scary Halloween Parties: at Dewsbury Road Community Hub on Monday 23 October from 2-3pm; at Hunslet Library on Wednesday 25 October 1-2pm; and Beeston Library on Friday 27 October from 11am-12pm. Suitable for children aged 7+.
Explore Learning: Spooktacular fun at Beeston Library on Tuesday 24 October. Phonics workshop for 4-5 year olds from 10:30-11:30am; Creative writing workshop for children aged 7+ from 12-1pm.
