Work has started on the Great Middleton Park Show 2026. Our theme is Peace and Unity, as we bring people together in our fabulous Park.
Please put the date in your diary – Sunday 13 September 12noon-4pm. The show committee have listened to feedback and we’re opening an hour earlier this year.
Volunteers are vital to the running of our shows and we are always grateful for their help. It’s a great way to have fun working as part of a team (we always have a laugh!), to build confidence and meet local people. Whether you would like to join the organising committee or come and join us on the day, please let us know. Any help, big or small, is welcome.
We are particularly looking for volunteers to run the marquee and to update our Facebook page on the day.
Frances chairs the show working party and she said:
“It is so rewarding to volunteer at events like The Great Middleton Park Show and to see people coming into the Park for a lovely afternoon out. None of this would happen if we didn’t have the volunteers, so if you have enjoyed an event in the Park or if you want to support the community, please do get in touch. You can choose from a whole range of jobs – tombola stall, refreshments, selling plants, litter picking, registering entries in the marquee and more. Come and join us!”
The marquee is booked ready for everyone’s entries and the categories have been decided under the usual headings of Vegetables, Fruit, Flowers, Home Produce and Arts & Craft. The photo shows a vegetable sculpture from a previous show.
