A new community wellbeing group is launching at Hunslet Community Hub & Library next month.
The new Men’s Self-Help Group is a structured, men’s-only peer support group facilitated by Tony Boncordo, Mental Health & Social Care Practitioner, and is aimed at men who live in Leeds aged 18+ who are looking to improve their mental health, confidence and overall wellbeing.
The group combines educational workshops with facilitated peer discussion and will cover themes such as:
- Men’s mental health and wellbeing
- Stress management and resilience
- Confidence and mindset
- Emotional self-regulation
- Life direction, personal growth and healthier thinking patterns
Sessions will include check-ins, workshop discussions and occasional wellbeing activities, all within a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment where men can connect and support one another.
Tony Boncordo commented:
“This feels like a really positive addition to local wellbeing support in Hunslet, particularly given the ongoing conversations around men’s mental health, isolation and the need for spaces where men can talk openly.
“You’re not alone, let’s build strength together.”
Register your interest or find out more by contacting Tony directly on 07852 734126; email: tonyboncordo@gmail.com
Sessions will run weekly on Wednesdays, 5:15-7pm, starting on 17 June 2026.
Hunslet Community Hub & Library is located on Waterloo Place, off Church Street, LS10 2NS
