As reported in today’s (17 January 2011) YEP, Europe’s first all-male Cheerleading Group, the Middleton-based Peewee Boyz, are hoping to dazzle the Britain’s Got Talent judges in their bid for stardom.
This would add to the growing accolades and awards the group has achieved since their inception as part of the Dance Action Zone Leeds project, supported by the NHS and Leeds City Council. The group has recently taken part in the production of a music video by Tiesto called A Beautiful World, filmed in Middleton.
I think it’s great this group has achieved so much and that they go from strength to strength. They’re working hard to achieve success and not just waiting for it to arrive on a plate.
We’ll have to wait until next month to find out how successful they’ve been with BGT so in the meantime – good luck lads, reach for the moon and even if you don’t get there at least you’ll be amongst the stars.
