Four bright and determined Year 5 pupils from Cockburn Ingram Road Academy spent the day at The Grammar School at Leeds, taking part in an inspiring maths challenge event that pushed their thinking to new heights.
From tricky logic problems to team‑based puzzles, the children were immersed in activities that demanded creativity, resilience, and sharp mathematical reasoning.
The competition host was full of praise for the group, sharing:
“The children were a delight to work with. Their teamwork, enthusiasm, and problem‑solving skills shone through every challenge.”
The pupils returned to school buzzing with excitement, proud of how they supported one another and tackled each task with confidence.
Their teachers described the day as a wonderful opportunity for the children to stretch themselves and experience the joy of mathematical discovery beyond the classroom.
