Last chance to sponsor epic hiker Dean

Hunslet man Dean Hall, accompanied by friend Karl Blackburn, last week successfully completed an epic 24 hour hike from Leeds to Scarborough, raising money for the Martin House children’s hospice – and it’s not too late to contribute.

As previously reported, Dean and Karl set off from the hospice itself in Boston Spa (on the outskirts of Leeds, near Wetherby) last Friday morning (7 April 2017), and walked 56 miles around the clock to arrive at Scarborough Castle the next morning.

Dean commented:

“It was unbelievably hard, emotional, and physically draining. By the end, we were struggling to walk – then afterwards, I couldn’t sleep because my mind was racing so much! But I’m so glad we did it – for a fantastic cause. Big thanks to all those who’ve supported us.”

Dean and Karl are aiming to raise £650 for Martin House, and are still taking donations; to contribute, click here.
