Do you get nervous talking in front of a group of people?
Would you like to become more confident?
Or are you already confident and would like to practice more public speaking?
Would you like to be a part of a day full of speeches the world over?
Would you like to be inspired?
For all of the above, White Rose Speakers could offer the answer.
We’re a Toastmasters club based at the Jury’s Inn at Brewery Wharf, Hunslet.
I know what you’re thinking – no we don’t wear redcoats; and we’re nothing to do with grilled bread!
Instead, we’re simply a friendly bunch of people who meet up a couple of times a month to offer support and encouragement to each other to help us all become more confident.
March is an unusual month in that we’ve actually got three meetings planned:
Wednesday 8 and Wednesday 22 March provide an opportunity for visitors to see a range of speeches from members with varying experience levels (from beginners to some who’ve been practicing for a while). There’s also the chance to practice your own impromptu speaking – no preparation needed!
Wednesday 15 March is due to be somewhat different. It’s World Speech Day, and coincides with our members competing to be the best in the club at giving inspirational speeches and in giving feedback. That meeting gives us all the chance to support someone who could go on to become the world champion of public speaking!
If you’d like to find out more, come along to any of our meetings, drop us an email, or find us online and on Facebook:

Just a reminder that the first of our March meetings is tonight at the Jurys Inn.
We aim to start at 7pm, and recommend visitors arrive around 6.45pm.
