The Hunslet Club was pleased recently to receive the West Riding FA Charter Standard Club of the Year Award 2013, presented by Bradford City FC legend Ian Ormonroyd at the Valley Parade Ground as representatives of our club were special guests at the Bradford Vs Brighton game.
Back in May the club received a letter from the Chief Executive Officer of the West Riding County Football Association which said:
“Firstly I would like to congratulate you on the excellent work that you and your club have done in helping the nation develop grassroots football during the 2012/13 season. Through your continued hard work, you have not only helped raise standards within football, but also provide a safe and fun environment for everyone involved in the game.
Secondly, I am pleased to inform you that the club was nominated for the FA Community Awards 2013 and on this occasion The Hunslet Club has been successful in winning the West Riding FA Charter Standard Club of the Year Award 2013.
The County FA and the Football Association are pleased to recognise the contribution that you and your club give to grassroots football and wish you continued success in the future.”
Said Jason Slack, Funding Officer at the club
This is another fantastic honour for the club recognising the hard work of our amazing volunteers, staff and of course members. This will go alongside this years’ Leeds Sports Award for Outstanding Community Sports Club and the Speak To The Streets Best Youth Club Award and also the Hamara Community Organisation of the Year Award
