If watching the World Cup has reignited your love of cricket, why not get down and support your local team? Hunslet Nelson Cricket Club have a host of events coming up over the season at their ground on Gipsy Lane in Beeston.

Past Players Day

The club’s inaugural ex-players day will take place at the 1st XI game Hunslet Nelson v Carlton on Saturday 13 July 2019.

“All ex senior Nelly players are invited to join us for a drink and a bite to eat. Hoping to see some friendly faces for a catch up!

“We are hoping that all ex-captains and players will also get in touch with their contemporaries to help us reconnect with former players.”

Gin Night

Hunslet Nelson cricket club have teamed up with Unique Gin Festivals to bring you an evening of gin tasting on Saturday 3 August.

  • Gin tasting with 4 G&Ts
  • Cocktail on arrival
  • And to soak up all the alcohol, plenty of nibbles.

Yorkshire Enjoy Cricket Week

A daily Cricket Camp for children aged 6-15 years from 12-16 August. Registration is at 9.45am for a 10am start, finishing daily at 3pm. Refreshments and food available daily. Qualified and DBS checked Coaches. £8 per day.

The Hunslet Nelson Beer & Music Festival

The Hunslet Nelson Beer Festival is held over the August Bank Holiday weekend each year, and hostssome of Leeds most-loved music names.

Saturday 24 August the festival will celebrate the best in upcoming local bands, alongside some more established names, line-up includes:

  • Michael Dailey Music
  • Declan McNulty Music
  • Abstract
  • The Eight Track Heroes
  • Tytania

There will be a range of craft beers to sample on both days, from 12pm. Watch the 1st XI playing New Farnley on Sunday 25 August.
