Would you like to cycle more, but aren’t confident to ride on the road? Or perhaps you’ve never learned to ride a bike would like to now? Help is at hand with free weekly sessions running at John Charles Centre for Sport and in Cross Flatts Park.
In the two hour session you can learn to ride a bike from scratch. You can improve your bike handling skills so you can ride with family and friends with confidence.
The sessions are led by friendly, experienced instructors who will help you get ready for that first commute to work or college. On road and off road training is available, tailored to suit your individual needs.

Sessions take place at John Charles Centre for Sport, Middleton Grove LS11 5DJ on Tuesdays at 3-5pm and 5-7pm; and in Cross Flatts Park, Beeston on Fridays at 3-5pm and 5-7pm.
You will learn in a small group and can borrow bikes and helmets. As part of the Covid-secure set up you must book your session in advance. You can book by clicking here.
Kelly and Alex recently took part in sessions and commented:

How great these cycling training sessions are offered ! With more cycle lanes about Leeds for cyclists to use its really helpful for them to get some type of training. Many years ago people could take a cycling proficiency test but not sure if this is required nowadays.
