Fire at Holbeck supermarket

Firefighters brought in an aerial unit from Bradford to help tackle a fire at the Venus Supermarket on Domestic Street in Holbeck yesterday evening (17 July 2018) at 8:30pm.

The fire was located in the building’s roof void and extinguished by crews from Hunslet, Kirkstall Road and Bradford fire stations using a large jet, hose reels and breathing apparatus. No one was hurt in the incident.

The supermarket is open today, but the restaurant remains closed for now.
