Community market returns to Dewsbury Road Hub

Dewsbury Road Community Market is back on Saturday (28 September 2019). The market, which features locally made crafts is all about ‘for the community, by the community.’

Community Hub Manager, Jas Dhariwal-Holmes said:

“The aim of the Community Market is to give people a platform to sell their creative talent. With up to 20 stalls it covers a broad spectrum of skills eg handmade craft goods, holistic therapy, fashion such as hair braiding, art work and serves as a focal point for the community to get together and have an enjoyable time out at the weekend.”

The Community Market will be held at Dewsbury Road Community Hub, 190 Dewsbury Road, LS11 6PF on Saturday 28 September 2019, 11am-2pm

This month Slung Low will be joining fun, bringing its Cultural Community College double-decker bus. This a great opportunities to find out about their range of courses, from cooking classes to singing with the choir, which are all pay-what-you-decide.

There will also be live music, face-painting, and refreshments.

  1. I hope this is as great as the last one, and that there is lots of local people there having a great afternoon. I’ll always look at the purchase of the market stalls fondly as my first big grant approval.
