Residents are to be asked their views on the future of South Leeds Youth Hub at a special meeting on Saturday (23 November 2013).
As previously reported on South Leeds Life, Leeds City Council are looking for a third sector organisation to take over the flagship youth provision in Belle Isle. The centre cost £5m to build, but has been under used since it opened in 2011.
Local residents are invited to attend the community consultation event about the transfer of South Leeds Youth Hub to a third sector organisation. Sue Pennycook, South Leeds Youth Hub Change Manager said:
“There will be refreshments on arrival, a presentation to update on progress so far, as well as the opportunity to tell us what you think South Leeds Youth Hub should be like, in order to meet the needs of young people in your community.”
The event starts at 10am on Saturday. South Leeds Youth Hub is on Middleton Road, Belle Isle, Leeds LS10 3JA.
