The Middleton Railway Trust (MRT) has received funding from Middleton Park ward Councillors to mark the 50th anniversary of the closure of Broom Pit, the last coal mine in South Leeds, in 1968. MRT will be producing a special booklet for all primary school children in the ward as well

A new Memory Café is to open on Wednesday 28 February between 1.30-3pm and will be held last Wednesday of every month at Middleton Elderly Aid. I have Dementia myself and found these memory cafés very useful where you can get advice and a chat over a cup of coffee.
A new walking group from Middleton Elderly Aid starts on Wednesday 14 March 2018, 11.30am-12.30pm. This will be based on the very popular BITMO’s GATE Walk and Talk group, I lead every Monday 11am-12pm. The Belle Isle walking group will continue to run as its done for the last two
