It’s all Buzzing at Skelton Grange

There’s so much to see at Skelton Grange Environment Centre in the next two weeks as a part of the popular community and education centre’s 25th birthday celebrations – come on down!

It’s the last chance to see the exciting ‘Swarm’ exhibition, which has had hundreds of visitors and rave reviews about the installation inspired by bees, wildflowers and our natural environment, using materials reflecting Leeds’ industrial heritage. The exhibition, nature area, shop and café are open until Saturday (16 September2017).

Also a part of ‘Swarm’ is the opportunity to join the ‘Urban Buzz’ talk on Friday 15 September at 6pm, by Buglife’s Andrew Cutts, about making Leeds a buzzing city for bees and other pollinators.

On Saturday 16 September you can join artist Caryl Hallett making stained glass honeycomb or bees …

… and Skelton Grange Environment Centre’s Big Green Weekend follows hot on the heels of Swarm on Saturday 23 September 2017. The very popular open day is an opportunity for the public to come down and enjoy the woodland, ponds and meadows on the site, and to try out games and activities for all the family. The dragon fired pizza oven will be hard at work, and the fantastic Skelkton Grange café open for tea, cake and more…
