It’s becoming an annual ritual for South Leeds’ gardening groups to win awards at the RHS Yorkshire In Bloom Awards, but this year two awards stand out: Holbeck In Bloom won Gold for the first time and Cross Flatts Park won Platinum.
Other local winners were:
- Park Fisheries – Gold
- Beeston In Bloom – Silver Gilt
- Holy Spirit garden, Tempest Road – Outstanding
- Cottingley In Bloom – Improving
Ian Pickup from Holbeck In Bloom said:
“I’m absolutely over the moon. We’re only a small group, trying to make a difference and brighten up our part of South Leeds.”
