Beeston Young Ladies Cooking Club showcase event

We are a group of young girls who came together and form the Beeston Young Ladies Cooking Club. The objective of the group is to learn and gain skills in cooking varieties of dishes.

We received £500 grant from Touchstone charity (MAP+) to run this project and we are extremely grateful to them for their support. We also received support of £150 towards the event from two uncles from the Gambian community we are grateful to both of them. In addition we thank the Hamara Centre for allowing us to use their kitchen at no cost.

Our mentors are Aunty Ajie Fatou Jeng Secka and Aunty Fatoumata Bah Sawo. The pair has been very supportive giving us cookery lessons both in theory and practical.

We belief that we have gain some little experience and ready to share our skills with friends and family by inviting them to come and taste our cooking at our showcase event.

We are delighted to inform you that on Saturday 15 June we will be showcasing our cooking at the Hamara Centre in Beeston, 6-10:30pm.

We will cook various dishes for the event. We are inviting you to join us and share this historic moment with us.

We look forward to seeing you. May thanks in advance for your support.
