Beeston Neighbourhood Plan moves forward

Leaflets about the Beeston Neighbourhood Plan are currently being delivered to residents throughout the area and a website has been launched.

Beeston Neighbourhood Plan leafletNeighbourhood Plans allow local communities to have a say in shaping future development in their area. The Beeston plan will cover an area roughly bounded by Elland Road, Cross Flatts Park, Middleton Park and the Ring Road. A detailed map is reproduced in the leaflet and is available on the website: beestonplan.weebly.com.

The plan has reached this stage thanks to the work of members of Beeston Community Forum, but the next stage will see a new Neighbourhood Forum created just to work on the plan. Anyone who lives or works in the area is able to join the Forum.

A number of public consultation events are being planned and we will bring you details of these as soon as we have them.

Eventually the finished plan will be put to a referendum of residents to be approved.
