Appeal over suspected street robbery, Rowland Road, Beeston

Further to our report on 30 April 2019, Police are appealing for information over a suspected robbery in Leeds where the victim was left seriously injured in the street for two hours.

The 23-year-old man was found unconscious outside the Sylhet supermarket at the junction in Rowland Road and Lady Pit Lane, in Beeston, at about 7.10am on Sunday 28 April 2019.

A passer-by called an ambulance and the man was taken to hospital where he was treated for serious injuries, including facial and skull fractures.

It was established the man had been walking home after a night out in the city centre but had no recollection of the incident that resulted in his injuries.

Officers from Leeds District Crime Team have been carrying out extensive enquiries, including checks on CCTV which puts the man in the area of where he was found at about 5.15am that morning.

They are keen to hear anyone who was in the area around that time and who saw the victim or who witnessed anything suspicious.
