A weekend of activities across South Leeds

This weekend (4 & 5 August 2018) promises to be action packed with activities planned right across South Leeds, here’s our roundup:

South Leeds Live At Home Summer Fayre

Saturday, 10am-12pm at St Andrew’s Community Centre, Cardinal Road, Beeston. Tombola, Cake Stall, Bric a Brac, Raffle, Books, Crafts. Tea, Coffee and Bacon Butties.

Trentham Park Work Group

Saturday, 11am-2pm at Trentham Park, Trentham Street, Beeston. Using art and gardening to bring the pocket park back to life.

Cottingley Summer Fair

Saturday, 12-4pm at Cottingley Community Centre. Stalls, refreshments, play activities raising funds for the community centre and the regular activities they run.

St Luke’s Family Fun Day

Saturday, 1-4pm at St Luke’s Church, Malvern Road, Holbeck; organised by St Luke’s Tenants and Residents Association. Free petting zoo, fun games and information. Crime Prevention Officers, Recycling advisors and Parent Champions will on hand to offer advice there will even be a visit from a fire engine from the fire station on Dewsbury Road at 2pm.

Hunslet Club Parkside v Egremont Rangers

Saturday 2:30pm KO. First play second in the Rugby League National Conference Premier division Beza Street (opp Gardeners Arms pub)

Middleton Park Nature Walk

Sunday 1:30-3:30pm meet at Middleton Park Visitor Centre,; organised by Friends of Middleton Park. Bring binoculars and keen eyes to discover why your park is an important home for nature in your city. Weather permitting, we may see the elusive Purple Hairstreak Butterflies.
