Hunslet were able to score from the early minutes of the game building a 36-0 lead at half time.
The second half saw more of the same. Hunslet extended their lead to 46 points before the Ironmen finally got on the score sheet. Hunslet added another 3 tries, whilst South Wales added one point from a drop goal. The final score was Hunslet 64-7 South Wales Ironmen.
Joel Gibson, George Flanagan (2), Mufaro Mvududu (2), Nyle Flynn, Lewis Reed, James Duckworth and Marcus Webb all scored tries, whilst Joe Sanderson kicked ten goals.
In other matches London Skolars beat Hemel Stags (who Hunslet visit next week) and North Wales Crusaders lost to Coventry Bears. Barring dramatic upsets this should ensure that the League 1 Sheild final will be contested by London Skolars and Hunslet RLFC.
