Arrests after two men stabbed in Beeston

Detectives in Leeds are appealing for information after two males were seriously assaulted in an incident in the Beeston area yesterday afternoon (20 November 2022).

Police received reports that two males had been attacked with bladed items at around 6:10pm on Sunday.

One of the males suffered serious abdominal injuries while another suffered serious injuries to his hand.

The attack took place at a property on Back Whickam Street.

Three people have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and three more people have been arrested on suspicion of serious assault.

  1. Why don’t the police, the BBC, Yorkshire Evening Post and, apparently, South Leeds Life know where Hunslet is?

    This happened in Hunslet, along with it seems just about every other serious crime reported as “Beeston”

    1. I think most of our readers would describe Back Wickham Street as Beeston, or Beeston Hill. Even streets further down on Dewsbury Road and Hunslet Hall Road, which were historically part of Hunslet, are now described by most locals as Beeston.

    2. It’s very clearly in Beeston. Postcode is Beeston. Maps says it’s Beeston. Everyone but yourself knows it’s Beeston it isn’t even borderline it’s quite a way in Beeston a good few hundred years from hunslet. You don’t get into hunslet till you get to the big roundabout just before range etc
