The Volunteer Rangers will be carrying out path maintenance in Holbeck Cemetery, Beeston Road, on Saturday morning. Everyone’s welcome and tools are provided. Meet at the centre of the cemetery at 10am.
If you are looking something less strenuous, both St Mary’s and St Andrew’s churches in Beeston host coffee mornings on Saturday 10am-12pm.
It’s the first Family Art Workshop of the decade at The Tetley on Sunday. Create your own bird puppet at the free drop in event between 11am-3pm.
Hunslet RLFC start their preseason by entertaining Bradford Bulls at South Leeds Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Tickets are £10, £5 concessions and under 16s are free, kick off is at 3pm.
There are two clubs at Hunslet Community Hub on Monday. The Writers’ Club, 1-2:30pm, is for anyone interested in creative writing. Then from 3:30-4:30pm the children take over following computer projects at Code Club.
Beeston Community Forum moved its meeting back a week to allow all our heads to clear after the festivities and will meet on Thursday at 7:30pm at The Old White Hart on Town Street.
Friday is opening night for Oliver! – the latest production from the Hunslet Rogues. Curtain up at 7pm at The Hunslet Club on Hillidge Road. Tickets are £4 adult and £2 child. There will also be matinee performances on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 January.
Something rather different is on offer at the Jamyang Buddhist Centre in Holbeck where they are hosting a Sound Bath. We’re not sure exactly how it works but it sounds very relaxing and meditative.
