February Half Term Activities in South Leeds

The JESS Extended Schools and Services Cluster in south Leeds is providing 10 exciting activities for children and young people aged 5-16 from local south Leeds schools over the February half term. These targeted activities range from a Spy School to an Olympic Spirit Sports Day. Over 180 children will benefit from the activities.

In addition to these activities, there is a multitude of other activities on offer from local and city-wide providers and a flavour of the activities available is detailed below.

The Cupboard Project based in Holbeck is running a trip into Leeds city centre on Friday 25th February with Ice-skating and trip to the museum on offer , if you are interested (places are limited) please ring The Cupboard on 0113 276 2720 or 0771 289 2357.

The Hunslet Club (near to Morrisons in Hunslet) is again holding its infamous Holiday Activity Club for those aged 5+.  It runs from Monday to Thursday during the February half term and costs only £8 per day (£4 for half a day) and you need to bring a packed lunch and a drink.  If you are interested in booking please ring The Hunslet Club on 0113 271 6489. The Works Skatepark (just behind Costco and around the corner from Crown Point Retail Park) is open everyday during the holidays, 12 noon ’til 10pm.  Entry depends on membership.  You need to bring your own equipment (bike, scooter, skateboard).  If you are interested in finding out more visit: www.theworksskatepark.com.  Quote ‘southleedslife’ to get 10% off entry cost.

The Community Sports team from Leeds City Council are putting on a Multi-sports Activity Week at the John Charles Centre Monday-Friday 9am-3pm, Prices range from £4.50-£7.50 per day depending on concession card.  If your children are interested in basketball, touch rugby, table tennis, cycling, cricket, football or mini tennis give the team a ring on 0113 395 00 00 to book.
