A city wide volunteering scheme has been set up by Voluntary Action Leeds (VAL), working with Leeds City Council, to organise a co-ordinated response to support the vulnerable through the Coronavirus crisis. As well as identying volunteers the scheme will ensure that both recipents of support and volunteers stay safe.
Holbeck Food Bank has issued a plea for particular supplies after struggling to get hold of essential items from their usual supermarket sources.
