Hundreds of residents descended on the Grove Road recreation ground on Saturday (25 June) to enjoy the 2016 Hunslet Gala.

As well as the usual inflatables and stalls there were performances from the Vocologee choir and Indian drumming by pupils from St Mary’s school. There was also the chance to meet the animals in Ian’s Mobile Farm.
The Arena hosted displays by the Hunslet Carr and Shardonnay Majorette groups; the Keldon School of Dance; Zumba with Hannah and a Hunslet Club showcase.
Hunslet Gala was supported financially by the local ward councillors of the Inner South Community Committee, Skeltons Skip Hire, Ledgard Consulting, Eden, Anglo Engineering, and The Gold Trader.
