The Cupboard project which runs youth groups across South Leeds is holding two Open Sessions for new members on Monday and Thursday next week (24 & 27 November 2014).
The sessions, at Holbeck Youth Club and Belle Isle Family Centre will be a great opportunity to find out more and try activities as well as meeting the staff and other young people. On offer will be:
- Martial arts and self defence
- Make your own smoothies
- Outside football
- Henna tattoos
- Mug decorating
- Pool and table tennis
The Cupboard works with young people aged 13-18 and runs five weekly youth groups including a girls group and a football session. Here’s what some of the young people think about the project:
“I’ve been coming to the Cupboard since I was 13 and I am 17 now! It’s Awesome!”
“I have made tons of new friends; the staff are loads of fun and really supportive!”
“I’ve taken part in so much stuff…. climbing sessions, film projects and been ice-skating”
