The next Inner South Community Committee and Workshop will be held on Wednesday 9 December 2015.
The workshop theme is Health and Well-being and will address the topic of Helping Children and Families have the Best Start.
Cllr Angela Gabriel, Chair of the committee said:
“We know that children born into safe, healthy and active families are more likely to be healthier as they grow up. Supporting families is therefore an important way of ensuring that future generations have the best start in life.”
The workshop will bring together local services, partners and residents from South Leeds to consider the Best Start agenda.
The session will cover:
- What currently works well on the Best Start?
- What could we do differently?
- What contribution can you/your organisation make to Best Start in our area?
The workshop is being held in the Civic Hall in the city centre and will start at 5:30pm, sandwiches will be served from 5pm.
Following the workshop session the Committee will hold its formal meeting starting at 7pm. The agenda includes an Open Forum which is an opportunity for any resident to raise an issue or ask a question directly to Councillors.
