Basement Arts Project, the art gallery in the basement of Bruce and Debs Davies’ Beeston home, is hosting a new exhibition by Samela Otoviç called ‘It Will Come To Me’.
The work of Samela Otoviç is concerned primarily with the effect of light and space on people’s perception of artworks. Beginning with an exploration into the process of painting this has extended into the manipulation of light to create immersive sculptural installations.
Alongside a selection of her paintings Otoviç will be presenting an installation that focuses on the physicality of the environment through the de-materialised potential of light.
The exhibition is open for two weekends on Saturday and Sunday 12 and 13 July and on 19 and 20 July from 2-4pm. For directions to Basement Arts Project, please email basementartsproject@gmail.com.
