Wild Play at Skelton Grange

Set up camp for a day of wildness in the woods at TCV Skelton Grange.

Activities vary from session to session – but past Wild Play days have included: Wide games, shelter building, fire lighting, campfire cooking, field games, hammock making, wild food walks, woodwork crafts, string making, bows and arrows, stalking and tracking, pyro-carving and charcoal making!

Wild Play for 8-12 year olds is on Tuesday (26 May 2026) during half term. Tickets are available on Eventbrite here.

Then on Saturday 6 June it’s our Big Wild Play Out. Join us for our annual celebration of playing outside!

A day of outdoor play for all the family! Playing out is good for you, so we’re inviting families to join us for a day of outdoor play. There will be free play in the woods, games, and the chance to try pond dipping and bug hunting.

Discover what’s living in our ponds, woodlands and meadows and have lots of fun! Our green oasis beside the River Aire, just 2 miles from Leeds City Centre, is a former industrial site that has been transformed into a haven for wildlife and people.

Our cafe will be open for home-made cakes and a cuppa – or bring your own picnic! The event is free but donations are much appreciated.

Skelton Grange Environment Centre is on Skelton Grange Road in Stourton, LS10 1RS.
