White Rose Cheerleaders find new home in Beeston

White Rose Cheer was started by Kelly and Allie last year in Tingley, but has found a new home at the new Level Up Academy on Lockwood Court in Beeston.

White Rose specialise in acrobatic cheerleading routines and run classes for under 8s, under 11s and over 11s; as well as a Tumbling class open to everyone. They hope to start an adult class later in the year.

Kelly and Allie both represented England at the World Championships but gave up cheerleading due to pressure of time. Their loss is South Leeds’ gain as they share their experience and expertise through teaching.

Struggling to find a venue for classes they have teamed up with Level Up Academy who are creating an indoor Parcour or ‘free running’ facility. It includes a large sprung floor which is perfect for acrobatics.

Although they are planning for their first competion in March, they are still recruiting: “Anyone and everyone is welcome. All you need is enthusiasm, we can teach the rest!”

The forthcoming Half Term Cheer Camps are a perfect opportunity to try the sport. Open to 5-16 year olds the camps take place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 16-18 February.

Regular classes run on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursday between 6-8pm. Prices are kept as low as possible through regular fundraising activities.
