The new Aldi supermarket on Tunstall Road in Beeston is set to open next Thursday (28 January 2016).
The shop, built on the site of the old Holbeck Police Station, will open at 8am with the first 100 customers being a handed a golden envelope. Each envelope will contain a prize including a TV, SatNav and Smart Watch amongst them.
The development has created around 20 new jobs. Leeds City Council’s Jobs & Skills team worked with Aldi to help local people secure 13 of the posts. It’s interesting to note that at the time of the planning application, Aldi spoke about “up to 60 full and part time jobs” being created.
The new stores regular opening times will be 8am-10pm Monday-Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sundays.
